Sound Oil Promotes Italy MD to its Board

Junior explorer Sound Oil announced Monday that it has appointed Luca Madeddu, its managing director for Italy, to its board of directors with immediate effect.
 
Madeddu, who has been with Sound since 2012, has more than 24 years’ experience in the upstream oil and gas industry, gained with Italian major ENI. A reservoir geologist by background, Sound said that Madeddu has managed large teams for complicated operations in sensitive onshore and offshore environments and has worked in Italy, Venezuela, Nigeria, Indonesia, the UK and Congo.
 
Sound Chairman Simon Davies commented in a company statement:
 
“Luca is a core part of the Sound Oil team and has made a significant contribution to the development of our exciting Italian portfolio. I am delighted that he is joining the board.”
