Sirius Petroleum (AIM:SRSP) the investing company focused on oil and gas exploration and development opportunities in Nigeria is pleased to announce the appointment of Simon Hawkins as a Non-Executive Director.
Simon has 29 years experience working in oil and gas finance, having had nine years international experience with the Royal Dutch Shell group of companies in London, Netherlands and Nigeria followed by a successful career as an equity analyst at UBS, Dresdner Kleinwort, Ambrian Partners, MF Global and N+1 Singer. He joins the Company after two challenging years at Afren plc, where he was Global Head of Investor Relations. Simon is a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance & Accountancy, holds a BSc Econ (HONS) in Economics from the University of Wales and a postgraduate certificate in Oil and Gas Financial Management from the University of North Texas. Simon was ranked number one by Thomson Extel for his coverage of European Gas while at UBS.
The Company also announces the appointment of Simon Hawkins as Company Secretary.
