Fugro announces that Mr. Gert-Jan Kramer has decided to step down as a member of the Supervisory Board of Fugro with immediate effect.
Mr. Kramer has informed the company that it is a personal decision. He said: “Any debate about the combination of being a shareholder and member of the Supervisory Board of the company is neither in the interest of Fugro or myself. Therefore I have decided to step down from the Supervisory Board. I wish management, the staff and the company strength and success with the implementation of the recently announced plans and hope that, just as in the previous four down-turns that I experienced, a fast recovery can be achieved.”
The chairman of the Supervisory Board, Mr. Harrie Noy, added: “We respect Mr. Kramer’s personal decision. The Supervisory Board is very appreciative of his long-term commitment to the company, both as CEO (between 1983 and 2005) and as Supervisory Board member since 2006. Fugro has benefited substantially from his entrepreneurship, insights and extensive experience.”
