Ineos confirms London will act as dual headquarters with Switzerland

Ineos has confirmed to CW that it is relocating part of its senior staff back to the United Kingdom from Switzerland. The company moved its headquarters from the UK to Switzerland in 2010. Tom Crotty, Ineos’s group director, tells CW that the company already occupies a single floor space in an office in the London district of Knightsbridge. “Our UK registered businesses will be based there. We are there now on a single floor but we will renovate the building and formally open it towards the end of the year.”

The new office will employ senior executives from the relevant businesses. “We will probably end up with about 100 people, similar to the number we have in Switzerland.”

The key driver for the partial return “is the rapid growth in our UK registered businesses. We moved in 2010 and tax was a key consideration but the central location was also a driver,” Crotty says. Ineos views the new UK Conservative government more pro-business,” he adds.
