DuPont Names Hanck to Lead DuPont Performance Polymers in Asia Pacific

Philippe Hanck has been named business director of DuPont Performance Polymers in Asia Pacific. In this role, he will lead the company’s efforts to strengthen its position as the leading supplier of performance polymers in automotive, consumer electronics and other diversified industries. His responsibility includes leading teams in China, Japan, Korea, India, and the countries in South East Asia and Australia. 
 
“Philippe brings experience gained by previously leading DuPont’s polymers business and other DuPont businesses in the region,” said Patrick E. Lindner, president, DuPont Performance Polymers.  “We’re excited by the dynamic Philippe can create as he inspires his broad and diverse team to grow with our customer base through excellent service and technical support.”
 
“I am excited to lead this business at a time when polymers are more relevant than ever to the industries we serve,” said Hanck.  “Our approach will be to collaborate with our customers and value chain partners to find new ways to develop the lightweight, cost-effective alternatives that the industry values.”
 
Hanck joined DuPont in 1987 in sales and marketing in France. In 1995, Hanck joined DuPont Engineering Polymers in Asia Pacific, holding various sales and business management positions. In 2011, Hanck was named Asia Pacific managing director for DuPont Packaging & Industrial Polymers business and led the team that obtained specialty growth and operating improvements.
