Food ingredients manufacturer Vertellus has announced the acquisition of Jarchem Innovative Ingredients for an undisclosed sum.

Jarchem is a manufacturer and supplier of speciality chemicals and nature-based materials, that produces food ingredients for a wide variety of applications, including in dairy, baking, flavouring, and wine and beer filtration.

The acquisition will help to expand Vertellus’s environmentally friendly ingredients offering, as well as grow its customer base.

“The Jarchem team is thrilled to partner with Vertellus to bring our compelling product portfolio to more customers around the world,” said Jarchem’s managing director, Art Hein. “As consumers increasingly seek natural, healthy alternatives to conventional products, together our companies are well-positioned for long-term growth.”

Thomas Chadwick, principal at Pritzker Private Capital, which owns Vertellus, added: “This acquisition extends Vertellus’s strategic priority to further strengthen its portfolio of innovative speciality ingredients. The combined company has an attractive position in high-growth markets and is poised for continued, long-term success.”
