Clay Sanger has been named chief executive officer at SuperFood Holdings, L.L.C. The announcement comes three weeks after Beaming Wellness and Project Juice, now operating under the umbrella of SuperFood Holdings, announced their merger.

As c.e.o., Mr. Sanger will be tasked with developing and executing a major retail expansion plan for the plant-based, clean food quick-service restaurant company.

He brings over 30 years of experience in restaurant operations to SuperFood’s helm. He was chief operating officer at Pieology and Jinya. He also has held positions as vice-president of operations at Panera, Paradise Bakery and Susie Cakes. Mr. Sanger was part of the team that completed the merger between Panera and Paradise Bakery in 2009.

“Hiring Clay as our c.e.o. is an important strategic move that will support our growth goals,” said Devon Briger, chief financial officer at SuperFood Holdings. “The opportunity in front of us is tremendous and tapping into Clay’s expertise, will allow us to fast-track our path to even greater success.”
