Scandi Standard Agrees to Acquire Lagerbergs

Scandi Standard (STO:SCST) announces that it has signed an agreement to acquire Lagerbergs, subject to the approval of the Swedish competition authority, for a price of MSEK 105 on a debt free basis.
 
Lagerbergs is the third largest producer of chicken products in Sweden, processing approximately 10 million birds annually, with sales in 2014 of approximately MSEK 300. The business has been owned and operated by the Lagerberg family since it was established in 1965 and there are 120 employees.
 
“I am very pleased to announce this proposed acquisition, securing for Scandi standard additional capacity in the Swedish market, which is growing. We believe there are significant synergies to be achieved”, comments Leif Bergvall Hansen, CEO of Scandi Standard.
