Saputo Inc. announces today that it has acquired the companies forming Woolwich Dairy.
The purchase price of $80 million, on a debt-free-basis, was paid in cash at closing.
Woolwich generates annual revenues of approximately $70 million. It produces, distributes, markets and sells goat cheese in Canada and the USA. Woolwich operations are comprised of three manufacturing facilities (in Québec and in Ontario, Canada; and in Wisconsin, USA), as well as a distribution centre (in Ontario, Canada). Woolwich is a leading manufacturer of branded and private label goat cheese for the North American market. Its brands include
Woolwich Dairy, Chevrai and Wholesome Goat. The business employs approximately 190 people.
The transaction enables Saputo to increase its presence in the specialty cheese category in North America.

Located in Talcahuano, a region renowned for its seafood and fruit production and exports, the warehouse represents a strategic enhancement of the local cold chain infrastructure.
Never Never gin will be sold through Asahi’s alcohol division, Carlton & United Breweries (CUB). According to the company, the acquisition – which won’t impact daily operations – will enable Never Never’s premium gin to reach a wider customer base while enhancing support and product offerings for existing customers.
Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP) announced today the forthcoming departure of Nik Jhangiani, senior vice president and chief financial officer, with plans underway to identify his successor. Jhangiani will be stepping down to assume the role of CFO at Diageo later this year.
