Pizza Hut has named Juan Carlos “Carl” Loredo as president of Pizza Hut US, effective June 3.
Loredo will oversee the overall performance of the brand’s US business.
Loredo was most recently global chief marketing officer for The Wendy’s Co. He joined the company in January 2016 as vice president brand marketing.
Previously, he was vice president multicultural practice lead at The Marketing Arm and earlier CMO at Craftmade International.
“Carl comes to Pizza Hut with a strong track record of positioning brands for success and delivering results in highly competitive markets,” said Aaron Powell, chief executive officer of Pizza Hut Division. “He is adept at helping brands show up in novel and authentic ways at the right intersection of customer need and culture. The Pizza Hut team is delighted to welcome Carl, who will bring a passion and focus that will take us forward to the brand’s next bright chapter.”

During Investor’s Day, Mick Beekhuizen, EVP and president of Meals & Beverages, said that while soup remains an important part of the company’s portfolio, it accounts for a smaller portion than in the past. As a result, the enterprise is petitioning the board to rename the business to Campbell’s Company, subject to approval in November.
The two beverage giants agreed on the deal in July 2024, after Britvic previously rejected an offer of £3bn (approx. $3.95bn) from the Danish brewer in June. Britvic revealed that Carlsberg’s revised offer had the approval of its board and was expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2024, subject to regulatory approvals.
