Nestle Philippines names new chairman and CEO

(ABS-CBNnews.com) – Nestlé Philippines, Inc. announced it has appointed a new chairman and CEO.
 
The company named Suresh Narayanan as its chairman and CEO, effective April 2015.
 
Narayanan was previously chairman and CEO of Nestlé Egypt and Head of the Nestlé Business for North East African Region (NEAR), a post he held since late 2010.
 
He joined the Nestlé Group in 1999 as Executive Vice President for Sales in India. He was also assigned to Nestlé Indochina in 2003, as Executive Director for Sales, Marketing and FoodServices, covering Thailand, Cambodia, Myanmar, Laos and Vietnam.
 
In 2005, he returned to Nestlé India as Executive Vice President and Head of Sales covering India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal. He was Managing Director of Nestlé Singapore Pte Ltd from 2008 to 2010.
 
Narayanan olds a Master’s Degree in Economics from the Delhi School of Economics and a Diploma from the IMD Program for Executive Development, and has participated in the Nestlé Leadership Program of the London Business School.

After the transaction closes, Simple Mills will remain an independent subsidiary of Flowers Foods, led by founder and CEO Katlin Smith and her leadership team. The company will continue operating from its locations in Chicago, Illinois and Mill Valley, California.
