Nestlé México to Sell Ice-Cream Assets to Grupo Herdez

Nestlé México has announced the signing of a strategic agreement to sell its ice cream assets to Grupo Herdez.
 
Grupo Herdez is a leading producer of shelf-stable foods and frozen yogurt in Mexico.
 
The divestment includes Nestlé’s ice cream manufacturing facility in Lagos de Moreno, Jalisco, distribution equipment, freezers and an exclusive long-term license to market and sell Nestlé’s ice cream brands in Mexico. Under the terms of the agreement, all employees from Nestlé’s ice-cream unit will be transferred to Grupo Herdez.
