Litehouse promotes Prior to president

Kelly J. Prior has been promoted to president of Litehouse, Inc., a maker of refrigerated salad dressings, dips and cheeses. Mr. Prior has been interim president since November 2018, when Jim Frank, president and chief executive officer, announced his plans to retire.

In addition to interim president, Mr. Prior had been serving as chief financial officer, a role he has held since 2005. He joined Litehouse in 2002. Previously, Mr. Prior was c.f.o. at Medinex Systems and earlier was controller at the company. He began his career as manager of business assurance at PriceWaterhouseCoopers.

He received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Eastern Washington University.

“During this dynamic period of transformation we are seeing in the consumer packaged goods space, there is no better individual to lead the go-forward strategy for Litehouse,” said Allen Wright, vice-chairman of the board of directors. “Kelly is a proven leader with business vision and a unique ability to bring people together. We are excited to watch Litehouse continue to innovate while maintaining its quality excellence and best-in-class service under Kelly’s leadership.”

Founded more than 50 years ago, Litehouse has five manufacturing facilities in Michigan, Utah and Idaho. The company offers a portfolio of products under the Litehouse, Litehouse Simply Arisan, Opa and Opadipity brands through retail, e-commerce, food service, deli, member stores and value-added goods, such as meal and salad kits featuring Litehouse products.
