The cereal giant is to move its UK headquarters to MediaCityUK in a deal that Place North West understands will see it take three floors of the Orange Tower, totalling around 48,000 sq ft.

Dave Lawlor, Kellogg’s UK and Ireland managing director, said yesterday: “We can confirm that we are relocating employees currently based at our Talbot Road site to a new office in MediaCity UK from early next year.

“Talbot Road has served us well over almost three decades but it’s time to move to somewhere which better reflects where we want to take our business in the future.”

Cushman & Wakefield advised Kellogg’s but declined to comment.

The firm’s production and distribution facility at Trafford Park will be unaffected.

Although no details have been released on the disposal of the existing site, adjacent to Lancashire County Cricket Club, that location has been talked of for some time as a prime opportunity for the booming Old Trafford office-to-residential market.

In December 2016, Westpoint and Trafford Plaza were sold for residential by Marcol and Bruntwood respectively, part of an active push by Trafford Council to see new housing delivered rapidly in the area.
