IFF acquires microencapsulation technology firm

IFF says it has acquired The Additive Advantage, a manufacturing and licensing firm focused on delivery systems of microencapsulation and active ingredients. Financial details of the deal, including purchase price, were not disclosed.

TAA’s customers are mainly in the food, beverage, pharma, animal health and cosmetics industries. The company’s proprietary technology allows for the “printing” of active ingredients onto consumer products in these areas.
