Heinz Korte elected as Board Chairman of DMK Group

The supervisory board of DMK Deutsches Milchkontor GmbH has elected Heinz Korte as its new chairman at its regular meeting on 20.12.2016, effective on 1 January 2017. He will thus occupy the post of both Supervisory Board Chairman of DMK GmbH and Deutsche Milchkontor eG.

The DMK GROUP, says Heinz Korte, is planning a fundamental reorientation in 2017 in order to deal with the consequences the severe milk market crisis. This task requires his full attention.

Heinz Korte replaces Otto Lattwesen who died as the result of a tragic accident on 30.12.2016, shortly before his 66th birthday.

The term of office of Otto Lattwesen would have expired on 31.12.2016 for age-related reasons on the occasion of his 65th birthday in 2016, following seventeen years at the helm of the supervisory board of DMK GmbH. In his absence at the meeting in December, the supervisory board expressed its sincere thanks to Otto Lattwesen for the many years of close cooperation in the DMK committees as well as his contribution to the development of the company.

Heinz Korte also thanked Otto Lattwesen for his longstanding service and commitment, especially to the cooperative idea in Germany. After his death, he underlined the great loss for the entire company.

About the person: Heinz Korte
Heinz Korte is 53 years old, married and has three daughters. On his farm with 210 dairy cows in Bremervörde Lower Saxony, he has been training apprentices every year since his own apprenticeship as master farmer in 1991. The farm employs 2.5 workers in addition to the farm manager.
