Grupo LALA expands operations in Central America

/PRNewswire/ – Grupo LALA S.A.B. de C.V. a Mexican company focused on healthy and nutritious foods, announces that it has signed an agreement to acquire 100% of Productos Lácteos La Perfecta S.A. shares. As a result of this transaction, Grupo LALA expands its operations in Central America.

La Perfecta, a Nicaraguan company founded in 1959, manufactures and markets milk, dairy products and juice among the region. It operates a distribution network that reaches more than 25,000 points of sale in Nicaragua. La Perfecta has a portfolio of 8 brands and over 130 SKU´s. At the end of 2014, the Company’s annual sales exceeded 46 million dollars.

The transaction will be financed through LALA´s existing cash position.

Scot Rank, Grupo LALA´s CEO commented: “With this acquisition we have added new production and distribution infrastructure that provides increased scale and new capabilities, that will allow LALA to consolidate its’ presence in the region.”

The acquisition has been approved by the Grupo LALA´s Board of Directors and will be completed once the necessary regulatory authorizations are granted.
