Grupo LALA Announces A Change In Executive Team

/PRNewswire/ – Grupo LALA, S.A.B. de C.V., Mexico’s leader in healthy and nutritious foods, has announced today that CFO Antonio Zamora Galland will be leaving the Company to pursue another professional opportunity starting January 1, 2015.  Mr. Zamora has served as Grupo LALA’s CFO since January 2010 and will remain at the Company through the end of December.
 
“On behalf of Grupo LALA, we thank Antonio for his valuable contributions over the past five years.  We wish him the very best in the next phase of his career,” said Mr. Eduardo Tricio, Chairman of the Board.
 
“The decision to leave LALA was a very difficult one for me,” said Mr. Zamora. “LALA is a great Company.  I am grateful for the learning, experience and relationships and I look forward to seeing LALA continue to grow in the future.”
 
The Company is pleased to announce that Mr. Gabriel Fernandez Ares de Parga will be appointed as the new CFO of the Company. 
 
Mr. Fernandez joins Grupo LALA after spending 10 years with Mars Inc., where he served as Vice President of Finance Mars Chocolate North America Region.  During his tenure, he held a similar position in Continental Europe as well as other roles in Finance in Mexico and Latin America.  Prior to joining Mars Inc., he served for seven years in Procter & Gamble in various positions in Finance.  Mr. Fernandez is a Mechanical Engineer from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Mexico and also holds a Master in Mechanical Engineering from MIT.
