Granarolo acquires 60% of Brazil’s Allfood

Italian dairy food company, Granarolo, has acquired 60% of Brazilian importer and distributer of European foods, Allfood.

Based in São Paulo, Allfood has a portfolio of more than 200 products, 48% of which are Italian (25% cheeses and 75% cold cuts).

Own brands account for 33% of the company’s turnover.

Importance Of Brazil’s Market

According to the president of Granorolo Group, Gianpiero Calzolari, Brazil is a country with significant potential. The dairy sector alone is worth €23 billion.

In 2015, Granarolo purchased 60% of Brazilian cheese producer and distributor Yema.

The latest investments in Allfood and Yema, will allow Granarolo to become a leading company in both the production and import of Italian and European food products in Brazil.
