Caldic acquires Arlès Agroalimentaire to expand European business

Netherlands-based Caldic B.V. has acquired French distributor of food ingredients and functional additives, Arlès Agroalimentaire SAS, with the aim of expanding its European footprint.

Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.

Arlès Agroalimentaire is a distributor in the French food ingredients market with a broad product portfolio that offers high quality food ingredients and functional additives, including starches, emulsifiers, flavours, colours, proteins and sweeteners.

Its areas of expertise include: texture and stabilisation, colour and brightness, taste & nutrition and inclusions.

Global distributor Caldic says its latest investment is a ‘great fit’ to its current business in the European bakery, dairy, beverage, savoury, confectionary and nutrition markets.

The acquisition is part of Caldic’s mission in becoming a leading food ingredient solution provider in Europe.
