2 Sisters Food Group appoints Manufacturing Support Director

2 Sisters Food Group (‘2 Sisters’), the UK’s largest food manufacturer, has appointed Nick Townend as to the newly-created role of Manufacturing Support Director. Nick, who joined on 11th July 2016, is reporting to Martyn Fletcher, Chief Operating Officer.

Nick will be working with the commercial and operation teams to support 2 sisters’ ambitious growth plans. He will work with internal colleagues, as well as third parties, to ensure that 2 Sisters factories have state-of-the-art plant and equipment and are operating to the highest standards.

Nick brings a wealth of experience to the role having held manufacturing, operations and research and development roles in Nestle and performance improvement, strategy, category management roles within Sainsbury’s.

Martyn Fletcher, Chief Operating Officer, 2 Sisters Food Group, said: “We are delighted to welcome Nick to 2 Sisters Food Group. He will play an important part in the smooth running of the Group, providing a stream of communication between the commercial and operation teams. It is essential that we have a strong team who can ensure that every step of the investment chain is effective and implemented to its maximum and we look forward to working with Nick to continue to align our business with the needs of our customers.”
