2 Sisters Food Group (‘2 Sisters’), the UK’s largest food manufacturer, has appointed Nick Townend as to the newly-created role of Manufacturing Support Director. Nick, who joined on 11th July 2016, is reporting to Martyn Fletcher, Chief Operating Officer.
Nick will be working with the commercial and operation teams to support 2 sisters’ ambitious growth plans. He will work with internal colleagues, as well as third parties, to ensure that 2 Sisters factories have state-of-the-art plant and equipment and are operating to the highest standards.
Nick brings a wealth of experience to the role having held manufacturing, operations and research and development roles in Nestle and performance improvement, strategy, category management roles within Sainsbury’s.

Located in Talcahuano, a region renowned for its seafood and fruit production and exports, the warehouse represents a strategic enhancement of the local cold chain infrastructure.
Never Never gin will be sold through Asahi’s alcohol division, Carlton & United Breweries (CUB). According to the company, the acquisition – which won’t impact daily operations – will enable Never Never’s premium gin to reach a wider customer base while enhancing support and product offerings for existing customers.
