Elementis CEO David Dutro To Retire

(RTT News) – Elementis Plc., a specialty chemicals company, Tuesday said its Group Chief Executive David Dutro has expressed the desire to retire sometime in 2016. Dutro has been with Elementis for 17 years and 2015 marks his ninth year as Group CEO.
 
The Board is undertaking a search process from within and outside the company to identify and appoint a successor to Dutro.
 
Dutro remains focused on driving the company’s strategic and operating plans and is committed to fully supporting the Board in managing a successful transition.

Blue hydrogen could contribute 50% more to global warming than fossil fuels

The use of blue or low-carbon hydrogen, made from natural gas with carbon capture and storage (CCS), could increase near-term global warming by 50% compared with burning fossil fuels directly for energy if emissions are not properly managed, according to a new study by NGO the US Environmental Defense Fund (EDF) and the University of Arizona.
