Changes in Kemira Oyj’s management

Antti SalminenPhD (Engineering) has been appointed President, Municipal & Industrial segment and Head of region EMEA as of November 1, 2014. Antti has been employed by Kemira since 2011 as Executive Vice President, Supply Chain Management and member of Kemira’s Management Board. Antti will succeed Frank Wegener, who will leave Kemira as announced on August 1, 2014.
 
Michael Löffelmann, PhD (Chemical Engineering) has been appointed Executive Vice President Projects & Manufacturing Technology and member of Kemira’s Management Board as of November 1, 2014. He has been with Kemira since 2013, serving as Senior Vice President Strategic Projects.
 
“Both Antti and Michael bring strong analytical, strategic and leadership skills into their roles. With his deep experience of supply chain management Antti will be able to drive the Municipal & Industrial business to deliver its strategic objective to maximize cash flow generation. As communicated earlier, Kemira will be making investments into new and existing capacity to enhance growth. Michael will have critical role in securing that these investment projects are delivered within strict implementation criteria to support Kemira’s financial targets. His role is also to assure that we continuously develop and maintain the most efficient manufacturing network”, said Jari Rosendal, Kemira’s President and CEO.

Rossouw to step down as Sasol CFO in October

Petrochemicals company Sasol has announced that CFO and executive director Hanré Rossouw will step down from his position, effective October 31. Sasol has started the process to appoint a successor. Rossouw will still oversee the publication of Sasol’s reports for the financial year ending June 30, to allow for a structured handover period.

Chemours CFO Jonathan Lock resigns following code of ethics violations

Chemours announced its CFO Jonathan Lock has resigned from all positions within the company, according to an SEC 8-K filing on April 23. The resignation comes in the aftermath of the company announcing that Lock, former CEO Mark Newman, and principal accounting officer Camela Wisel, had been placed on administrative leave.
