New LyondellBasell CEO Peter Vanacker, who joined the company from Neste in May, today named his senior executive team and outlined organizational changes, including creation of a circular and low-carbon solutions business. All changes will be effective 1 October.
The business unit executive officers will be as follows: Kimberly Foley—current senior vice president HSE, global engineering and turnarounds—has been named executive vice president, refining, intermediates and derivatives. Kenneth Lane remains executive vice president, olefins and polyolefins (O&P). Torkel Rhenman—current executive vice president, refining, intermediates and derivatives—has been named executive vice president, advanced polymer solutions. James Seward—senior vice president, R&D, technology and sustainability—has been named executive vice president and chief innovation officer. Lastly, Yvonne van der Laan—director, olefins and optimization O&P Europe—has been named executive vice president of the new circular and low-carbon solutions division.
Business units will now have global responsibilities for manufacturing operations, the company says. Leaders for central functions include Tracey Campbell, executive vice president, sustainability and corporate affairs, as well as Dale Friedrichs, executive vice president, operational excellence and health, safety and environment. LyondellBasell is searching for a new executive vice president, people and culture, which is being filled by Friedrichs in an interim role.
James Guilfoyle—executive vice president, advanced polymer solutions & global supply chain—will relocate to Rotterdam and assume the role of senior vice president O&P, Europe, Africa, Middle East and India.
Michael McMurray will continue as executive vice president and chief financial officer, and Jeffrey Kaplan will continue as executive vice president and general counsel.
