A new managing director has been apointed by milk bottle specialist Nampak Plastics Europe replacing Eric Collins.
Arnold Mitterer is joining the company from Nampak competitor Alpla, which joined in 2001 and where he is currently general manager. In this capacity he has successfully led major operational interventions and secured contracts with major multinationals, including Unilever, Procter & Gamble, Arla Foods, L’Oreal and SC Johnson.
Mitterer will start at Nampak early next year.
Following a phone call from Packaging News to Nampak, the company issued the following statement: “We can confirm that Arnold Mitterer will be joining Nampak Plastics Europe in early 2017. In the interim period Alan Terhoven, is acting managing director until such time.”
During the phone call a Nampak spokesperson confirmed that Collins had left the company.
It’s understood that the move was facillitated by Vitae Selection.
