OSI Group, L.L.C. has acquired Baho Food, a Dutch manufacturer of convenience foods, deli meats and snacks serving the food service and retail segments. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
“Adding Baho Food to our OSI Europe business gives OSI a broader presence in Europe,” said David G. McDonald, president and chief operating officer of OSI Group. “The company’s portfolio of products and brands complements OSI’s current processing strengths while broadening our capabilities to best serve the evolving needs of our customers.”
Baho has five subsidiaries with processing plants in Germany and the Netherlands. The five companies, which include Gelderland Frischwaren, Vital Convenience, Henri van de Bilt, Bakx Foods and Q Smart Life, serve customers in 18 European countries.
Baho Food’s managing director, John Balvers, and his team of managers will remain part of the business and work with OSI executives to develop a growth strategy for the newly combined companies.

Never Never gin will be sold through Asahi’s alcohol division, Carlton & United Breweries (CUB). According to the company, the acquisition – which won’t impact daily operations – will enable Never Never’s premium gin to reach a wider customer base while enhancing support and product offerings for existing customers.
Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP) announced today the forthcoming departure of Nik Jhangiani, senior vice president and chief financial officer, with plans underway to identify his successor. Jhangiani will be stepping down to assume the role of CFO at Diageo later this year.
