Ciliberti secures new Borealis vice president role

Borealis, the Austria-based chemicals group has announced the appointment of Maria Ciliberti to the position of vice president of marketing and new business development for polyolefins.

Ciliberti joined Borealis directly from Celanese Europe in Amsterdam, where she had served as vice president sales – Europe, Middle East and Africa.

A native of the United States, Ciliberti, began her career in polyolefins at Dow in 1989.

“We are exceedingly pleased to welcome Maria Ciliberti to Borealis,” said Alfred Stern, Borealis executive vice president, polyolefins and innovation & technology.

“As a results-oriented personality with a prodigious amount of international experience she is the ideal person to lead our polyolefin marketing and new business development organisation. We trust that she will continue to build on her impressive track record of growing business portfolios by creating value through innovation.”
