Innospec To Sell Aroma Chemical Business To Emerald Kalama For $40.5 Mln

(RTTNews) – Innospec Inc. (IOSP) Monday announced an agreement to divest its Innospec Widnes Ltd, an aroma chemical business to Emerald Kalama Chemical of Emerald Performance Materials LLC for around $40.5 million.
 
The sale will be closed by the end of July 2015 and expects to use the proceeds for balanced capital management programme.
 
Innospec said it will continue to focus on Fuel Specialties, Oilfield Specialties and Personal Care.

Italy’s Treasury has sold a 2.8% stake in oil and gas company Eni, raising approximately €1.4bn. He will succeed Mathias Miedreich who has decided to step down, in mutual agreement with the Supervisory Board. Bart Sap joined Umicore in 2004 and has been the Executive Vice President Catalysis since March 2021.

MOL Inaugurates €1.3 Billion Polyols Complex in Hungary

Hungarian energy and petrochemicals group MOL has inaugurated its €1.3 billion polyol complex in Tiszaújváros, Hungary, with a capacity of around 200,000 t/y of polyol, a widely used plastic raw material. According to MOL, the commissioning is a significant milestone, as it is the only company in Hungary and Central and Eastern Europe that covers the entire value chain from crude oil processing to polyol production.
