Appointment in Kemira’s management

Esa-Matti Puputti, has been appointed Executive Vice President, Operational Excellence and a member of the Kemira Management Board, reporting to President and CEO Jari Rosendal. He will start in his new role during May 2015 and will be based in Helsinki, Finland.
 
Esa-Matti Puputti has a strong leadership track record from various global supply chain management roles, including manufacturing and production technology. He joins Kemira from the position of Senior Vice President, Supply Chain and Sourcing, Fazer. Prior to that, he has worked in several positions in Nokia (1999-2012) and ABB (1992-1997).
 
“Kemira is targeting EUR 2.7 billion revenue with 15% EBITDA margin in 2017. In this new role, Esa-Matti will be leading Kemira’s business process development with an aim to improve the way of working and the efficiency and agility of our end to end processes. He will be heading Kemira’s global supply chain management, sourcing, product stewardship and regulatory affairs functions, as well as the Gdansk business service center. I am excited about the wealth of experience and drive Esa-Matti will bring to our team and I expect a strong contribution from him as we plan to take our operational capabilities to an even higher level to deliver our 2017 targets”, said President and CEO Jari Rosendal.

Petrochemicals company Sasol has announced that CFO and executive director Hanré Rossouw will step down from his position, effective October 31. Sasol has started the process to appoint a successor. Rossouw will still oversee the publication of Sasol’s reports for the financial year ending June 30, to allow for a structured handover period.

Chemours CFO Jonathan Lock resigns following code of ethics violations

Chemours announced its CFO Jonathan Lock has resigned from all positions within the company, according to an SEC 8-K filing on April 23. The resignation comes in the aftermath of the company announcing that Lock, former CEO Mark Newman, and principal accounting officer Camela Wisel, had been placed on administrative leave.
