Belgian-Dutch immunology company argenx (ARGX.BR), will buy Forte Biosciences (FBRX.O), to add experimental autoimmune drug FB102 to its portfolio, the company said on Monday.
Argenx will pay $77 a share in cash, valuing the U.S. drug developer at about $2.2 billion, in a deal that gives it a first-in-class anti-CD122 antibody that has shown early promise in vitiligo and celiac disease.

CordenPharma is investing €80 million at its Caponago, Italy, site, adding a new facility and fill-finish lines to lift sterile injectable capacity to 500 million units/year, backed by shareholder Astorg. The expansion involves two key components to augment manufacturing capacity for sterile injectable drug products.
The investment will reinforce the Bend site as a center of excellence for particle engineering and bioavailability enhancement and create a global manufacturing hub for commercial spray-drying. Lonza will offer a full range of spray-dried dispersion (SDD) capacity to support customers across both clinical and commercial programs.
