Canada Bread acquires Stonemill Bakehouse Limited

Canada Bread Company, Limited, a subsidiary of Grupo Bimbo S.A.B. de C.V., announced today that it has completed the acquisition of the total shares of Stonemill Bakehouse Limited located in Toronto, Ontario.

Stonemill Bakehouse Limited is a leading producer of slow fermented craft breads baked in stone ovens using 100 per cent natural, non-GMO certified and organic ingredients. This operation will position Canada Bread for further growth, complementing its current product portfolio and its distribution and manufacturing footprint.

The acquisition includes well-positioned brands such as Stonemill. The company employs approximately 100 associates and operates one production facility in Scarborough and a store in St. Lawrence Market in Toronto.
