Siegwerk has announced the availability of Colorwerk FastMatch Cloud, a cloud‑based color management solution developed in collaboration with X-Rite Pantone, a color science and technology company.

The solution combines ink formulation, color correction, and quality control in one integrated system to support printers and converters to achieve “fast, accurate, and consistent color results across multiple presses, locations, and production processes.”

Kiran Deshpande, global senior expert color management at Siegwerk, says: “With FastMatch Cloud, we transform how color data is managed in packaging printing. By combining Siegwerk’s formulation expertise with X‑Rite Pantone’s color science and cloud technology, we enable customers to work with reliable, standardized color data anytime and anywhere.”

Cost-efficient solution
Siegwerk shares that FastMatch Cloud is part of the global Colorwerk color management program, allowing centralized color data management and standardized ink recipes through a cloud database accessible 24/7.

The design supports ink formulations based on different applications, customer‑specific tolerances, and selected colorant assortments. The solution is said to enable consistent color reproduction throughout the packaging value chain.

The innovation also integrates with X‑Rite Pantone solutions, including PantoneLive. This aims to ensure that digital color libraries and industry standards are always up to date.

Another feature of FastMatch Cloud is its ability to utilize press-returned ink in new matches or batches, reducing aged ink inventory, which is said to cut costs and space.

Nick Meyer, business unit director for Print & Packaging at X-Rite Pantone, says: “Today, packaging printers need scalable, secure and connected color solutions.”

“FastMatch Cloud delivers the flexibility of cloud computing combined with trusted color intelligence, enabling consistent results and confident decision‑making across the entire production workflow.”

Kevin Wemple, plant manager at CL&D, a flexographic packaging printing and digital short‑run solutions provider, comments: “Since transitioning to FastMatch Cloud, we’ve seen big improvements — and we love it. Out of seven or eight ink suppliers, only Siegwerk understood our needs. When it comes to color matching solutions, Siegwerk is far ahead of others in the industry.”

Siegwerk will demonstrate FastMatch Cloud at Labels & OUter Packaging Embellishment (LOUPE) 2026 (September 15–17) in Chicago, US.

Recently, Siegwerk launched the heat-sealing lacquers portfolio within its Cirkit coatings brand following its acquisition of chemicals producer Allinova to expand its coatings capabilities.
