Borouge International has appointed Roland Janssen as CCO, effective 1 October 2026, as the company continues to advance its integration and growth priorities.
Janssen will be based at Borouge International’s headquarters in Vienna and succeeds Stefan Doboczky, who is leaving the company to pursue a new opportunity.
He brings more than 25 years of global commercial and industry experience and most recently served as SVP, Global Sales & Marketing at Borouge International.
Janssen has also held senior leadership positions at both Borealis and Borouge, with experience spanning Europe, the Middle East, Asia and the Americas.
In his new role, he will lead Borouge International’s global commercial organisation, oversee customer relationships and advance commercial priorities across the company’s key markets.
Roger Kearns, CEO of Borouge International, said Janssen’s appointment reflects the depth of talent within the company as it continues to build its global platform.
“Roland’s appointment reflects the depth of talent across our organization and our confidence in the future,” Kearns said. “As we continue building Borouge International, he will help build on our momentum, advance our strategic priorities and create long-term value for our shareholders.”
Janssen said his focus would include strengthening customer relationships and capturing opportunities created by the company’s expanded global footprint.
“Having spent over a decade at both Borealis and Borouge and having worked across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and the Americas, I have a deep understanding of the business, markets, customers and the complementary capabilities we are able to bring together as one company,” he said.
Borouge International was formed in 2026 through the combination of Borouge Plc, Borealis and NOVA Chemicals.
The group is backed by XRG, ADNOC’s international investment arm, and OMV, and operates across consumer products, infrastructure, energy, mobility and advanced products.
Headquartered in Vienna, Borouge International also has a regional headquarters in Abu Dhabi and corporate hubs in North America and Asia Pacific.
