Every reinvention enriched my perspectives. Science research taught me to always question, explore and wonder. Patient care taught me what is at stake. Lawyering gave me respect for what employment relationships actually mean in people’s lives. Being a trailing spouse in several foreign countries taught me resilience, persistence and respect for difference. Board work taught me how to advise and support. I have had jobs that I have hated and others that I have loved. Through it all I have learned how people, teams and organisations behave when answers are not obvious and what good leadership can achieve.
