I believe the best leadership decisions start with a deep understanding of the business, where it is going, what needs to change and the kind of people who will make that happen.
That is the perspective I bring to executive search. Having worked in both senior HR and business roles before spending the past 25 years advising leaders through Borderless, I am comfortable moving between strategy, organisation and people. I ask questions, challenge assumptions and help clients think beyond the obvious profile to define what they really need from a leader.
Much of my work is about judgement: understanding what makes someone successful in one environment and whether that success will translate into another. Experience has taught me to look beyond an impressive track record to understand how someone thinks, leads, builds relationships and responds when the context changes.
I particularly enjoy working with leaders at moments of growth, transformation or transition, when the right appointment can have an impact far beyond the role itself. My approach is personal, pragmatic and direct, and I value the trusted relationships that develop when clients see me as a sounding board as much as a search partner.
My international outlook has shaped the way I work. I am fluent in Dutch, English and German and alongside my work at Borderless, I serve as President of the Board of Trustees of an international school.
Ultimately, what motivates me is simple: bringing together exceptional people and organisations where they can make a real difference.
