Wood Group has landed a $120million contract with Babcock International.
The five year deal will employ more than 400 people and include servicing Babcock’s UK industrial sites. Services will include application of protective coatings, scaffolding, insulation, rope access, cleaning and fire sentry.
Hugh Pelham, managing director of Wood Group Industrial Services, said: “Securing this new contract is testament to our track record in the marine sector and relationship with Babcock International. We have a strong history of delivering marine projects safely, to schedule and to budget. I look forward to building on this across further Babcock Group sites, and successfully continuing our long-standing relationship with this key client.”
The Babcock win is the second major contract win for WGIS. In February, it was awarded a five-year agreement with Valero Energy.
Last year, WGIS won more than $300million of new contracts.
