Statoil names Oystein Loseth as chairman

Norway’s Statoil ASA Wednesday named board member Oystein Loseth as the new Chairman and Roy Franklin as Deputy Chairman of its board of directors from 1 July.
 
Mr. Loseth has been a Statoil board member since 1 October 2014 while Mr. Franklin was a member of the StatoilHydro board from October 2007, and later Statoil from November 2009 until June 2013.
 
Current Chairman Svein Rennemo and board member Jim Mulva had in advance informed the nomination committee that they did not wish to stand for re-election in 2015.
