Statoil makes senior appointment

Statoil has appointed a new senior vice president.
 
Peter Hutton will assume the senior vice president CFO investor relations role from January next year.
 
Hutton, who has 12 yeas’ oil and gas experience and 16 years’ financial experience, is currently the director of oil and gas research for RBC Capital Markets.
 
Chief financial officer Torgrim Reitan said: “Peter has extensive insight into the oil and gas industry and the financial markets.
 
“He has consistently been ranked as one of the best equity analysts and has a broad network across companies and institutions. I look forward to his contribution to Statoil and to have him as a part of my team.”
