Aker BP said it will make around 60 redundancies.
The move comes after staff were warned of plans to downsize earlier this month.
The job losses are expected to take place through voluntary redundancies.
Aker BP has more than 1300 employees and has offices at Fornebu, Stavanger, Trondheim, Harstad and Sandnessjoen.
