Total Produce takes 50pc stake in Canada’s Gambles Group

FOOD group Total Produce has taken a 50pc stake in Gambles Group, a fresh food firm based in Toronto, Canada.
 
The move is Total Produce’s fourth in North America – Gambles was founded in 1989 and has sales of CAD$170m with 280 staff.
 
It operates out of the Ontario Food Terminal at a state-of-the art 65,000 square foot facility.
 
The acquisition price was not disclosed.
