Barentz International BV (Hoofddorp, the Netherlands) has appointed Peter Boone as CEO, effective Oct. 1. Boone succeeds Hidde van der Wal, who has served as Barentz CEO since 2000. Boone most recently served as CEO of Barry Callebaut AG, a Swiss maker of chocolate and cocoa.
During his tenure, van der Wal has led the growth of Barentz throughout Europe and expansion into the Americas and Asia, growing turnover from €125 million in 2000 to €2.5 billion today.
