Trinseo completes acquisition of API

Trinseo (Berwyn, PA) has completed its $82-million acquisition of Applicazioni Plastiche Industriali S.p.A (API, Mussolente, Italy).

API’s Mussolente manufacturing and research facility and all of its business, employees, and assets will be integrated into Trinseo’s performance plastics business.

“We will be able to grow the combined business by leveraging API’s soft-touch polymers and Trinseo’s rigid polymers to our collective customer base in all geographies,” says Chris Pappas, president and CEO of Trinseo.
