Air Liquide acquires two Swiss companies

Air Liquide SA said Tuesday that it acquired two health care companies in Switzerland.

The French company said it acquired both Sleep & Health SA and Megamed AG although no financial details were disclosed.

Air Liquide said the acquisitions strengthen its presence in Europe.

Sleep & Health offers home healthcare services for patients with sleep apnea and Megamed specializes in ventilation and support for patients who suffer from respiratory failure.

It doesn’t leave behind hazardous waste materials, like nuclear does. And it doesn’t require large swathes of land to be flooded, like hydroelectricity. Seems too good to be true. So…what’s the catch?
