Arla announces exit Of Vice CEO

Arla Foods has announced the retirement of Povl Krogsgaard, its Vice CEO and Head of Supply Chain, effective 31 December 2017.

Krogsgaard, who has been with Arla for 30 years, has been Vice CEO since 2004.  He will be succeeded by Sami Naffakh, currently Senior VP of Global Supply Chain – EMEA at Estée Lauder. Naffakh has also worked at Danone Early Life Nutrition, Reckitt Benkiser and Unilever.

L’Occitane International owner Reinold Geiger is reportedly close to taking the company private in a deal with Blackstone. The French skin care company’s filing halted trading of its Hong Kong-listed shares this week. This is the second time in months that the Australian billionaire has attempted a buyout.
